Transfer Documents

Before you purchase or sell a bike, you will want to make sure all the documents are in order to ensure a smooth transition from seller to buyer. All too commonly people purchase and/or sell bikes with incomplete documents leading to headaches as the recently purchased bike can no longer be registered to the new owner. Required documents and signing location can change based on whether the purchaser or buyer is a Thai national or Foreigner living in Thailand. (Note: Some documents are more than one page (or double side printed). The examples below are just showing the signature pages for reference)

 Thai Seller to Foreigner Buyer

Thai Seller Documents:

Thai ID Card Copy (Signed and not expired)

Foreigner Buyer Documents:

Passport ID Page Copy (Signed and not expired)

Visa page Copy (Signed and not expired)

Proof of residence (One of the following):

• A copy of work permit with your home address listed (Signed and not expired)

• Certificate of residency (Original and not expired)

Other Documents:

 Foreigner Seller to Thai Buyer

Foreign Seller Documents:

Passport ID Page Copy (Signed and not expired)

Visa page Copy (Signed and not expired)

Proof of residence (One of the following):

• A copy of work permit with your home address listed (Signed and not expired)

• Certificate of residency (Original and not expired)

Thai Buyer Documents:

Thai ID Card Copy (Signed and not expired)

Other Documents:

 Foreigner Seller to Foreigner Buyer

Foreign Seller Documents:

Passport ID Page Copy (Signed and not expired)

Visa page Copy (Signed and not expired)
