HOW TO GET A NEW THAI DRIVERS LICENSE:

WHAT you should know:
When applying for a new Thai Driver’s license there are three primary steps to complete. First, a physical test for checking color blindness along with reflex and depth perception. Two. a series of informational videos followed by a theory test. And third, a short driving test on a closed course. Of course, we are with you every step of the way.
THE PROCESS
DOCUMENT PREPARATION:
We review your documents, confirm their eligibility, and assist with acquiring any documents if needed..
APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING:
We schedule an appointment at your earliest convenience with the Department of Transport.
The first day (Physical/theory exams and 5 hours videos) can be schedule for Wednesdays or Fridays only.
The second day (driving test and license issuing) can be scheduled for any available weekday after passing the theory exam.
Test Explanation and Preparation:
Before taking the physical and written exam our staff member will explain the process and what to expect. Study materials are available in English and Thai.
LICENSE PROCESSING:
First day: The first day starts in the morning with the basic eyesight and reaction/depth perception tests and then if followed by watching the 5 hour educational videos. After the videos will be the 50 question theory test in which 45 correct answers is required to pass. Upon passing the theory test we can schedule the date for the second day of license processing. (Total time is 6-8 hours)
Second day: The second day will start by receiving information regarding how to complete the driving test. (A car will be provided for you) Upon test completion successfully a photo will be taken and your new 2 year Thai drivers license will be issued. Total time is (4-8 hours)
In the event you do not pass the driving test, you may try again after three days
There is a limit of 90 days from registration to complete any retest attempts.

Passport with visa
Any Visa type with a minimum of 15 days validity from the date of license processing
Certificate of residency:
One document is required for each service. (Ex. Motorbike & Car license will require 2 original documents)
Issued from Thai Immigration or your home country Embassy (If they provide the service)
