CITY BIKES CONDITIONS
Driver Conditions
Renter requirements
A valid passport is required to be shown at the time of rental. We DO NOT hold your passport, we simply take a copy.
Riding experience is mandatory for all touring bike rentals.
Minimum age: 21 years. (Exceptions may be made if properly experienced with a valid motorbike license)
Driver’s license requirements
A valid driving license is legally required in Thailand
ASEAN Licenses are legal in Thailand
International Driver’s Permits are legal in Thailand
License from other countries are commonly used and commonly allowed but ultimately up to the discretion of the police officers.
Improper licensing may lead to a fine if checked by police
Proper licensing is strongly recommended for insurance validity.
Payments, Extensions & Reservations
Payments
Payments are due in full on the first day of rental.

Rentals Extensions
All customers on open ended rentals are allowed to extend their rentals as long as they would like, or return as needed. (Within working hours) Simply contact us to make a payment via your preferred method and we will update your rental to the new dates.
Reservations / Cancellations
Reservations
Reservations can be made with a booking payment equal to 10% of the rental total.
Advance reservations are accepted for rentals 2 days or longer.
Security deposit: 2,000 THB (cash, transfer, or credit card).
Deposit returned at end of rental.
Cancellations
More than 7 days prior: 100% refund of booking payment.
Less than 7 days prior: Payment is held for up to 1 year as credit.
Within 24 hours: Payment is forfeit.
Bike Conditions
Included for free
Two helmets (Rental helmets are used for a maximum of one year before being replaced)
Phone Mount (Provided for convenience, however to be used at customer’s discretion. BSR can not guarantee against any damages in the unlikely event that damages are incurred)
Luggage storage during your rental period
Usage limitations & Options
Local use in Bangkok
All city bikes come with unlimited km usage within Bangkok.
Optional usage outside of Bangkok
For in store rentals:
110 - 125cc - Cost is additional 1200 Baht per week
150 - 300cc - Cost is additional 1500 Baht per week
Select models only, may not be available for every bike.
Comes with usage outside of Bangkok included already
City bikes are not designed for high speeds or mountainous areas. Any damage incurred due to excessive highway or mountain use will be charged to the customer.
IMPORTANT: Theft in Thailand is rare, but when it does happen the bikes are generally sent to a bordering country. Any city bikes being used outside of Bangkok without prior authorization will be presumed stolen and immediately treated as such.
Delivery/Pickup
Delivery is available pending location and our schedule at that time for rentals of one week or longer. Although we do not schedule or guarantee deliveries in advance, we do provide it when possible to accommodate customer’s needs. 200 baht pending location and distance.

Reservations / Cancellations

MotoGP weekend 5-day minimum rental period due to high demand.

Insurance Coverage
Medical coverage (Inclusive):
Standard medical coverage for all parties involved in an accident. (The amount of coverage is determined on a per basis criteria based on the specific injuries obtained)
Coverage applies within Thailand only.
Damage/theft coverage (Optional):
Damage/Theft coverage is available for the rental bike itself. (does not cover third-party vehicles or property).
A deductible applies in the event of an incident.

Liability:
Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in excess of the legal limit will result in exclusion from all insurance and coverage.
Renters are responsible for the fair damage/replacement cost of damages incurred with the rental bike.
Riding Gear & Luggage Storage
Protective Gear
Helmets are included for free, we do stock a full range of Small - XXL Helmets in 3/4 and full face designs.
Riding gloves are available free as well as a limited selection of affordable gloves for sale.
Riding jackets are available optionally.
All protective gear is cleaned and inspected after/before each usage.
Luggage Storage
Free luggage storage available at the shop for the duration of your rental.

Usage Limitations
All rentals include unlimited kilometers.
Bike Passports (International Use)
Cost: 5,000 THB
Total deposit: 30,000 THB (5,000 for bike, 25,000 for passport).
Required for travel to Laos, Cambodia, and Malaysia.
Approx. 80% success rate—border crossing cannot be guaranteed.
